Rachel Gregory, Program Director

Rachel Gregory came to Flagstaff, from San Diego, to attend NAU where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Spanish. Her professional career includes volunteer management, exceeding sales and fundraising goals, in both for-profit and non-profit environments. In 2011, she received the Young Athena Award presented by the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce. She earned her Masters of Education, TESOL from the University of South Florida in Tampa, with highest honors from the College of Education’s SCATTER program. While in graduate school, Rachel volunteered in an underserved elementary ELA classroom, and served as a tutor for the county literacy program. Rachel is passionate about contributing to the Flagstaff community, and The Literacy Center’s mission of improving literacy and English language acquisition for children and adults.

              Dannae Campbell, Program Manager

Dannae moved to Flagstaff in pursuit of her Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at NAU. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at the University of Reno, Nevada. Dannae has had several English teaching opportunities abroad and has taught online courses for NAU and English courses through Skype based companies to speakers overseas. She has enjoyed teaching English composition courses at NAU and presenting at local and national TESOL conferences. Her experience in volunteering for nonprofits has fueled her desire to be an active member in the community. Dannae strives to love where she lives and seize opportunities to serve her community well. Dannae’s passions align with the Literacy Center’s mission to give the gift of language and education in order to improve the lives of those in our city.
